I deleted my Google+ profile for the same reason. I'm pretty pissed with Google right now! I don't see why Google of all companies doesn't understand that some people have online identities that they don't want to share with "real life" people. First the Buzz fiasco, now this. I'm also irritated that it signs me onto my youtube account automatically when I am logged into my gmail. I actually have 2 youtube accounts and that's my old YT account that it logs me onto. It won't let me log out though! Basically, this is my face with Google these days. :|
