After pondering this for a while, I've decided not to screen the comments to this entry. There isn't a limit on how many times a prompt can be claimed, and people can get ideas about what to prompt when they see what other people are doing. Everyone can submit as many prompts as they can think of. On 1st November I will compile all these and make a list of prompts by pairing, which I will post on this journal.

A very British Christmas - get them to the UK for Christmas! Maybe Danny goes because Rachel took Grace there for the holidays, and Steve follows. Your choice, just. Make them have a very British Christmas, with all its differences from an American Christmas!

I'm gonna go ahead and prompt my *other* favorite pairing for this fandom...

Kono comes to Danny's apartment on Christmas Eve while he's taking Grace back to Rachel's. When Danny gets home he finds Kono rather invitingly displayed in a 'Sexy Mrs. Claus costume' wanting to know if Santa!Danny has been naughty or nice. Sexy Times ensue!

Danny finds out a couple of days before Christmas that Rachel and Stan are taking Grace away for the holiday. Rachel promises Danny that he can have Grace for the Friday to Monday of the New Years' holiday. but he's still depressed and bah-humbugish.

Steve takes it upon himself to cheer Danny up and give him the happiest Christmas he can. Rating is up to the author :)

Wo Fat: A Christmas Carol/Scrooged

On Christmas Eve, the ghost of Victor Hess pays Wo Fat a call, warning him to change his ways before it's too late. He is visited by three ghosts--I could picture Kono as an extremely badass Ghost of Christmas Present, beating Wo Fat up, just like Carol Kane does to Bill Murray in Scrooged.

This could be either hysterically funny or beautifully poignant, or a combination of both, depending on how the author is inspired, and also the rating is up to the author as well.

Steve has always hated Christmas -- or, not quite always. Just since he turned 16, when his life imploded. He doesn't quite make the connection, though, just that he always avoided doing anything for the holidays.

Now, though, his old tricks won't work. Because he's no longer alone, no one to expect anything from him, no one to want him there to celebrate with. Now, he has his team, and Grace, and Danny. They make him see that he doesn't have to hate Christmas anymore -- and they won't take no for an answer.

Danny, drunk and maudlin on Christmas, spending it alone without Grace and Rachel, wishes on the stroke of midnight that he had someone too, just for himself. And in the morning, he wakes up next to a lovely woman in bed with him, acting like she's always been there. As Danny gets used to his new life, he slowly starts to realise that he already had someone just for him, only he hadn't realised it before. Up to the writer who the mystery woman is (could be the doc, could be an OC). Bonus points if she's the one who makes Danny realise what Steve means to him, and that Steve's been waiting patiently for Danny to twig.

Danny has to go shopping for a present for Steve -- he's already left it far too late, and he has no option. Panicking, he calls Rachel for help. Pre-slash, get-together would be amazing.

Steve/Danny: sick on Christmas

Someone gets sick around Christmastime. No h/c per se, as the person doesn't need to be taken care of, just some grumpy feelings about being sick during the holidays.

Then on Christmas Day, the person is still sick but things work out: everyone's able to have a good time, and activities, while possibly not as extravagant as they would be otherwise, aren't messed up and are still enjoyed by all.

Steve isn't great at Christmas (for angsty reasons and/or practical ones), but he wants to take care of his team and does some behind-the-scenes things for each of them as (secret) presents (maybe makes sure Danny will get to be with Grace for example). Meanwhile, Danny & Co. (especially Danny :-)) are ragging on Steve as being not in the spirit, and misunderstandings ensue until somebody twigs that Steve's been playing Secret Santa, sorta.

Steve LOVES Christmas. Only for the past 18-odd years he's been hiding it, out of a sense of self-preservation, pretending that he's not bothered that he hasn't got anyone to spend it with. It's gotten so ingrained that now, with everyone around him that he wants so bad to celebrate with, he has trouble dropping the act. I want to see everyone pitching in to help, once they've realised what's going on.

Somebody builds a sand "snow"-man or snow-people on the beach. Could be anything -- Steve's beach or somewhere else, built by Danny and/or Steve for Grace or built by Grace herself, or built by Steve or Kono and Chin for Danny. Any kind of emotions -- missing snow and New Jersey and family back there, or just fun, or deeper feelings. Anything. :-)

After a hellish caseload, with Christmas fast approaching Danny begs, pleads, and/or bully's Rachel into letting him have Grace while she's on break from school. Together Danny and Grace decide to steal Steve away to New Jersey for Christmas and New Years. While there Danny and Steve discover FEEEEEEEEEEEELLINGS, and get together. Cue adorably sweet Gracie moment (via Miracle on 34th St. 'got exactly what I asked Santa for' or Wonderful Life 'Every time a bell rings...').

Bring on the Fluff-induced coma, people!
