Tell me, O muse, of that ingenious hero who touches my soul

I got reminded tonight of how much I adore this video, when I was thinking of ways to cheer up the brave and beautiful noeon.

I know most people have already seen it, but it speaks to me on a primal level. I have watched it over a hundred times, and at no point does it ever get boring. The cinematography is beautiful, for a brief minute-long video, and it is just so well thought out, I am astounded by the punch it delivers in 61 seconds.

I don't know why it is that I adore it so much. Is it because of the freedom of disguise? Is it because they are brave enough to dispence with that disguise when the time comes? Is it because these two fancy each other rotten despite the initial deception? Is it because they seem to accept each other as they are, kinks and all? Is it because it denotes the meeting of, if not soulmates, than at least two souls that are on the same wavelength? Is it because I long to meet someone who speaks to my own soul like that in real life, not just online?

Maybe it is all of the above. All I know is that when I watch it, for that one tiny moment, I don't feel so alone.
