I've just read this beyond-adorable news story, and I agree with kitsune_tsuki -- this is the perfect set-up for a romantic comedy. And now I desperately want someone to write this, in whichever fandom inspires. :D

God, I'm so tired, even though all I've done today has been edits. Goddamn you, cold. D: On the plus side, both the Sherlockmas and the dream_holiday assignments are done and ready to go! \0/ \0/ On the not-so-plus side, it is taking me ages to get through reading over the Coffee Shop AU so we can pass it over to our wonderfully obliging beta, because I keep getting distracted by Steve/Bucky kitty fic, which, BEST EVER DISTRACTION. BEST. EVER. And also listening to this song, which is making me want to write PINING BOYS IN LOVE, and more specifically the Steve/Peggy/Bucky strand of the Love, Actually AU, because MY GOD, THE FEELS. <3

And also there is Avengers Christmas fic that I am itching to read, and then I got sidetracked while picking out a title for my Sherlockmas fic from a bunch of quotes on writing that are making me all warm inside with love for my craft, and.

What I'm saying is, I just want to lie back on the sofa and read/watch soppy love stories for the rest of the night. *sigh* If you have any of those in mind, do please throw them my way. <3

I've just finished watching Little Women (for at least the 65th time), and now I have a dreadful craving for a Charles/Erik fic where Charles is Jo (which, come on, it is so obvious) and Erik is Friedrich (which is even more so). IDEK anymore. But the plucky optimistic sunny writer and the taciturn yet fond and loving German professor -- MATCH MADE IN HEAVEN WESTCHESTER. GAH I DO NOT NEED ANY MORE PLOT BUNNIES EVER OH MY GOD.

I saw this amazing video today, which makes a most excellent case for BBC Sherlock taking its narrative tropes from Jane Eyre. Basically Sherlock/John = Rochester/Jane. It's also intercut with the trailer for Jane Eyre (which, Fassy!! ♥). You can watch it here! It's a lot of fun! :D

Also, I watched Clash of the Titans (2010) yesterday (which -- so dreadful, oh my god), and I'm shipping Draco/Perseus LIKE BURNING, WHY BRAIN. But just think -- the older, more experienced, unimpressed warrior and the younger, more innocent, in need of guidance champion. OH MY GOD. ♥_______♥ Also, that leather armour with the pleats can be so easily lifted and trousers and pants pushed out of the way... Ahem. >.> Ease of access, is all I'm saying. IT'S HOT IN MY HEAD, OKAY.

How is everyone's day being?

Shocking, I know. It's like I'm rediscovering the wheel. But I'm super energised today after another night of 10-odd hours in a row. I shall do ALL THE THINGS!! And maybe even write! \0/ After I come back from shopping with my mother, however. We've like three christenings that we've been invited to attend, and we need presents for them.

3) Chapter Five of Hand in hand is the only way to land is up, for those following it! :D There's maybe another two installments that I'm thinking of, which makes me sad because no more awesomesauce red_rahl art, but y'know, all good things and all that. Soooo.... I maybe got a bit tipsy tonight (as evidenced by me trying to type butt instead of bit three times before I got it right), because it's National Health Workers day over here, and practically my whole family celebrates -- so we got a wee bit trashed.

And then I somehow ended up watching the following:



And in my somewhat befuddled state, I ended up noticing SO MANY THINGS I'd never paid attention to before. All of Steve's micro expressions, the way Danny moves to make space for Steve when he goes to lean against the car, the way they are SO MARRIED OMFG, the way they so obviously care about each other, the way there are ALL THESE FEELINGS in the blink of an eyelid. Not to mention the delicious grey at Steve's temples, and the yummy stubble over Danny's jaw. HNNNNGGG. I LOVE THESE BOYS TO DISTRACTION.

Today was just MAD. I am nowhere on zolac_no_miko's birthday present, which makes me all sorts of sad and panicky and pissed at myself -- but even if it's late, it'll be there, darling. I promise. <3 I'm sorry I'm such a flake. ;_____;

I swear various beta jobs, comment responses, and emails are coming tomorrow; today was just one big clusterfuck of obsene amounts of work for a National Holiday. I guess it comes with the job? So basically I'm NOWHERE right now. Oh god, I suck so bad.

To make up for my blah, a rec! Once Upon a Place by giddygeek, which is quite possibly THE BEST THING TO HAPPEN TO ME ALL DAY, I'M NOT EVEN KIDDING. Well, bar the 'getting ratarsed' stage of the day, which has merit all on its own.

Seriously, though, SUCH A WONDERFUL, GORGEOUS, HEARTWARMING STORY. I want to marry it and cuddle it and bake it cookies forever. All my buttons, pressed so very hard. Quite possibly one of my favourite stories in this fandom.

Tl;dr, you should really stop posting when pissed, Sirona, babe. Just a word of friendly advice. /facepalm
