sirona_fics: (plot bunnies)
SO. Can I just say HOW MUCH I hate those pesky buggers at present? Seriously. I have one story to finish for Saturday that's nowhere at the moment, and I have, HAVE to start working on writing up my findings for my dissertation, since my advisor wants a first draft done by the end of the month.

What do I do instead? Procrastinate, that's what. That, and getting plot bunnies LIKE NOBODY'S BUSINESS.

There's two of 'em at present that are trying to eat my brain. One is an Arthur/Eames one, and one is, unsurprisingly, a Steve/Danny one. Even more unsurprisingly, BOTH are AUs.

1. Arthur/Eames Arthur is a soldier in the Army, somewhere in the Middle East. He's a voratious reader, always has been, and books are at present the only thing keeping him sane. He keeps skipping over to the British base, where every week without fail they get sent a package of donated books. The variety is staggering, and the way they make Arthur feel is beyond anything he is prepared for. There are also letters, tucked away into some of the books, about strange little everyday things that make him smile and keep him warm at night. They are all signed with, 'Love, E.' Arthur is getting obsessed with finding this E., and telling him how much their kindness has meant to him. His tour ends, and soon after he finds himself in London. He tracks the return address on the packages to this tiny hidden-away Oxfam shop in Bloomsbury; when he finally gathers his courage and goes in, he finds this muscled, tattooed stranger with laughing eyes and a generous mouth that does certain terrible things to Arthur's insides. I think you can see where this is going, y/y?

2. Steve/Danny This is going to be a particularly juicy proposition for [livejournal.com profile] zolac_no_miko, I can tell already. Here's the premise -- Steve McGarrett is Batman A Superhero. Danny Williams is his long-suffering BAMF butler. There's this whole thing in my head where Danny went to BAMF Butler school, and got taught proper procedure and Applied Superhero Psychology, and then he gets assigned to John McGarrett, who unfortunately gets killed; and then his son turns up, and all hell breaks loose in Danny's ordered little world. And then he has to save Steve from himself even as Steve saves the city from bad guys, and show him he isn't all alone anymore. And naturally there's Kono and Chin and Mary and EVERYONE.

I WANT TO WRITE BOTH OF THESE LIKE BURNINGGGGG WHAT IS MY LIFE. AND DID IT HAVE TO HAPPEN NOW WHEN I HAVE A DISSERTATION AND A BIG BANG TO WRITE, FML SO MUCH.
