Attack of the plot bunnies

Today was bloody hard; the past three days I managed, pretty much, but today was just a struggle to get through. I've uh. Written a thing. I don't even know what it's supposed to be; I can't even describe it. It's plot-driven character study, I guess, and I sort of whote it with![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif)
h50_flashfic's new challenge in mind, which is Alternative Universe. Only is it alternative universe if the story follows the series outline, but Danny and Steve have met before canon dictates they meet for the first time? I am so confused; that's not usually this easy to do. Too much work and no play makes Sirona a sad, tired bunny. So anyway, I hope to finish it tomorrow at some point, and then I'll just dump it on darling long-suffering zolac_no_miko and sob on her shoulder that I don't know what the hell I'm doing anymore. D:
The OTHER AU I'm writing is going considerably better! :D It's that Mills & Boon AU that sidelined me a couple weeks back, the one where Steve is a SEAL whose team gets sent to extract a bunch of hostages from a hostile country, including one Detective Williams, his daughter, his ex-wife, and her new husband. Somehow it's grown to almost 8K, and it's about 2/3 done. WHY DO I DO THIS TO MYSELF, WHY. On the other hand, I'm having enormous amounts of fun writing it, so. It all balances out, I guess! :D
The Big Bang deadline has been extended to 15th June, which is making me unspeakably relieved and awfully excited to get writing again! <3 I'll do some of that tomorrow, I think -- or, rather, whichever story comes first, I guess.
I made a strawberry summer cake tonight. It smells divine; as I type it is cooling on a rack in the kitchen. I don't know if I'll eat some tonight--OH, WHO AM I KIDDING, OF COURSE I'M GOING TO EAT SOME TONIGHT. SILLY QUESTION. /eyeroll/ ETA: It is unspeakably delicious! <333 AND THEN BED. OH MY GOD, BED. I'M STARTING TO HAVE DAYDREAMS ABOUT IT.
