Lazy Sunday is delicious
Today has been just lovely. Woke up really late -- in fact, got up just in time for the start of the Men's final at the Ausralian Open, which was really rather enjoyable. Mmmm, Novak Djokovic... ♥

It will surprise you NOT AT ALL to learn that I'm rather fond of watching him. Probably about as fond as he is of manhugs; for example:

Not a match goes by that he doesn't indulge, and today was no exception. It was really rather sweet when he hugged poor Andy Murray, who really wasn't on top form today -- but hey, he got to fondle Novak, so that's a bit of a consolation prize in my book. XP No photoes of today as yet, but this was yesterday, at the fundraising game:

Well well, doesn't he look happy? XP NO, SIRONA, YOU CANNOT WRITE TENNIS RPS. NO, REALLY. SERIOUSLY. I MEAN IT.
I've no idea what happened at the Ladies' final, because I tend to focus on the Men's, sexist pig that I am -- but can you really blame me? Mmmm, boys.
Anyway, as some of you know, my family is a bit tennis-mad, and I've been watching it since I was a baby, even if I never seriously played (apart from just for fun). So it was a lovely morning/noon, watching the game, drinking coffee, bickering with my dad and yelling at the screen with my mom -- it was pure love. It's been months since I've spent such a lovely day with my family. After the game my sister came over and we gorged ourselves on pancakes (yes, okay it was 3pm by that time, what of it?), and talked about puppies, and watched as my nephew tried to kick his way out of her stomach -- it's hilarious, even if I don't envy her -- he's a feisty little bugger already.
And now we're watching the FA cup games, and just chilling, and it's lovely, a perfect last day off before I have to go back to work tomorrow. I've had to postpone my last exam until my sinuses are finally unclogged enough to let me study -- it's been terrible, I've felt so damn stupid, reading and reading and remembering fuck-all. I've not been able to smell a thing for the past six days, it's been driving me bonkers -- finally it started coming back last night, and today I can go back to my usual shower gel at last, since I didn't want to waste it if I couldn't smell it (it's toffee-scented and awfully yummy). I've a very sensitive nose, and my sense of smell is extremely important to me -- though I don't think I've realised just how important before this week.
Another thing is that I've been horribly undecisive this past week -- I've changed my journal layout about four times, and still I'm not happy. I don't even anymore. I'm going to try to stick with this one for at least a few days, see if it makes any difference. Argh.
Anyway, best get back to writing, now that I finally can again; I'll need to make proper headway for my A/E exchange Noir AU, since it's due next Friday. Now if only I could stop thinking of Steve in tennis whites... I may or may not have to write something along those lines before my brain will let me concentrate on Arthur/Eames again. Sigh. I've yet to read
weatherfront's Big Bang, though; that might carry me through.
I'll leave you with this serious challenge to my (admittedly, already somewhat shaky) heterosexuality:

Grace Park. HOW IS THAT WOMAN THIS DAMN AWESOME?? I would so tap that, given half a chance. I mean, for BSG fans out there -- Boomer was pretty damn kick-ass already, but Grace as Kono Kalakaua is just something else. Mrawl.
How's your weekend been, flist? ♥

It seems today is made for laziness.
I'm sooo not into tennis, but the guys are hot. And since I'm easy to entertain I'll just enjoy the "show". *ggg*
HAPPY SUNDAY, SWEETIE!!!

These guys. OMG, the stuff they do on the court. Novak basically stripped himself almost naked today, when he won the Championship -- he was down to his shorts, I swear to god.
MY KINKS, LET ME SHOW THEM TO YOU. XD

Here's what I like about this layout:
--black font on white
--readable font (though for me sans-serif is slightly more readable)
--long text lines so my scrolling is minimized
--clean look
It was only because you mentioned it above that I switched to your style; my default is to read everything in my own style because so many people do grey text on white and it enrages me. Just during this past year, my eyes have entered middle age, and I hate the reminder of that.
Sounds like you had an excellent Sunday! Feel better soon.

You're quite right -- S/D OTP is my OTP, and there's no way she's getting in the middle of that, but she can have ANYONE ELSE SHE WANTS, NO WORD OF LIE. She is one of the best things about that show (after S/D, natch). It's not just that she's beautiful, and perfect; she's also a proper BAMF who kicks arse and takes names, yet is also soft and sweet and lovely. It's everything I would want in a partner, regardless of gender. I JUST CAN'T HELP MYSELF. XP
Re: layout -- it always has to have black text on white background. I can't stand the coloured backgrounds, especially when it's white on dark, I'm out of there so damn fast.
- as it happens, the other layout I'm torn between is sans-serif, which I also rather like, but I thought I'd get something different for a change -- hence the serif font.
- ditto with the clean look.
The other layout I rather fancy is this one, because it's also clean, and readable, and kinda really cute. Meh, I don't know, I like both; I might change it soon anyway, depends on whether I can get used to this one or not.

That was my two cents on tennis.
As for journal layouts, I can sympathise. Although the one I have for

Oooh, thank you so much for the shiny! That's me sorted out for today! :D God, I am such a graphics geek, it's not even funny. Pity I don't know the first thing about pro coding. Brb poking around those linkies! <3
