I've been incredibly restless all day. I guess it's been a long, long time since I had the weekend off to just chill out and do fuck-all if that's what I wanted.

So naturally I cleaned the house, dead-headed the roses on the balcony, finally hooked up our new Blu-Ray player that we've had since last Christmas -- I know, what the bloody fuck, this is ridiculous -- played Inception on it (just to make sure it worked, you know, honestly, although I could see every single stripe on Arthur's shirt and every fleck of blue in Eames' eyes and that was awesomesauce), fiddled a bit with my layout, read Tony/Steve fanfic by [livejournal.com profile] gyzym, and made those mocha cupcakes I was talking about.

They are delicious. Success!! \0/ \0/

And now to finish that fic and make a start on the two beta jobs I promised. Yay moar yummy fic! *noms*

They are so delish, although they make a proper mess if you try to eat them with your hands without cutting them up (which, let's face it, is how sweets always get eaten where I'm concerned). Best of luck to you! :D

Om nom nom!

Also, I think this restlessness means you and I need to write something together.

SO YUMMY.

Actually I suspect restlessness means I need to work on the Fake Husbands story for you. >.> Which I will do as soon as I can get myself in the mood to write. I seem to be more in the mood to faff about at the moment. :( I don't seem to be particularly good at writing when I'm at home. Probably should take my laptop and bugger off to the nearest coffee shop.

I'm in the same kind of mood. I feel like I can't actually write since finishing free diver!Steve. I have had all sorts of awful feelings about my writing since then, sigh. I need to get back into it, but then at the moment I can focus on plotting the UCbikers nano, I guess. I don't know. I feel like I need to take a step back...

I've been thinking that, too. Because at the moment I have three fic ideas that I want to get down to, and they are all HUGE. It's almost like I'm procrastinating because I don't want to get into something as complex as those will turn out to be. I just want to write something short and sweet, and i've been thinking of setting up a prompt post where I trade drabbles for prompts, EXCEPT that would mean those stories will not get looked at for as long as it takes me to fill the requests. On the other other hand it would be so much fun to just churn out a few short-and-sweets quickly, without thinking too much! What do you think, should I do that, even if it means waiting longer for the huge-ass fics?

If you think it'll be fun and you want to do it, I'm thinking you should go for it, yeah! These drabbles don't have to take you long, anyway. You can always set a count, like, you'll do 5 or 10 or something.

That's what I was thinking, too! I did a drabble meme ages ago that took the first 10 requests in any fandom, and that was one of the best things I could have done at the time. I think I'll do that -- just to get the writing juices flowing! :D
