H50 not-quite-fic: another 2.06 coda, with Delicatale's help

I'm just so, so happy to have an episode we can all squee over again! delicatale and myself have been going back and forth for the past two hours, and delicatale will post an amazing little coda tomorrow, but basically it went like this:

Brain's at it again

So VH1 is playing Bon Jovi's Please Come Home For Christmas, and I'm struck all over again by how fucking hot the young Jon Bon Jovi is. I say again, because I used to have the worst crush on him as a teenager, seriously, I used to have all his/their albums, knew (still do, in fact) all the lyrics, god, I was obsessed. It's one of the reasons I love Danny so much -- in their very first music cargument with Steve Jonathan Bon Jovi was the first thing Danny said.

So of course this got me to thinking. And you just know younger Danny crushed on JBJ so hard, I mean, the man was nnnnnngh fit as fuck (still is, but let's focus on the young JBJ right now), and I am certain Danny went to see him live and was all jafjghjghflgsjhg WOW and starry-eyed and uncomfortable in the pants deaprtment and all that, as it should be. I mean. That mouth, JFC.

And now I want Steve finding out about that somehow -- maybe he sees Danny perving over a video of that someone's playing as a Christmas-spirit kind of thing, and Danny's all *______* nnnngh. And then Steve rips the piss out of him.

And while we're at it, I got a couple candy canes the other day, and fuck, I'd forgotten what eating one entailed, AND NOW I WANT DANNY CATCHING STEVE EATING ONE AND ALMOST PASSING OUT AS ALL THE BLOOD FROM HIS HEAD HEADS SOUTH.

Basically the closer we get to Christmas, THE MOAR I WANT ALL THE CHRISTMAS CLICHES. Should we maybe have a H50 Christmas Trope fest? What do you guys think? It would make me pretty darn happy, I won't lie. :D :D :D

In other news, andrealyn seems to have infected me with her Steve/Danny You've Got Mail idea AND NOW I CAN'T STOP THINKING ABOUT IT GAH. It would be epistolary-type, made up of emails and text messages and it would be Steve/Danny and ensamble. AND I SHOULD STOP THINKING ABOUT IT BECAUSE I STILL HAVE TO WRITE THE FAKE HUSBANDS AU. /0\

H50 Christmas Trope Fest -- Introduction and Rules

Hey, guys! So, with one thing and another (and excellent enabling by a bunch of amazing people), I would like to announce:




THE HAWAII FIVE-0 CHRISTMAS TROPE FEST

1st - 31st December 2011


RULES:

1. This is a fandom-wide fest, so all prompts/pairings/scenarios are welcome.

2. Therefore there will be no character bashing tolerated. Please be respectful of everyone's feelings and preferences. If I see an instance of any kind of derision or bullying of anyone by anyone, the offending party will be banned from the fest (and very likely from this journal as well). This journal is a fun and safe place for me, and I want it to be one for everyone who chooses to drop by also. Any prompt which does not conform to these rules will be disregarded.

3. The only iron-clad rule that I will enforce is no underage sex. All parties engaging in sexual intercourse must be over the age of 16 (because that is the average age of concent in most places).

4. If you want to prompt for any heavy kinks, make sure you include a warning in the subject line. Same goes for warnings for character death, non/dub-con, etc. I don't think we'll be getting many of those, what with it being Christmas Tropes and all, but if you would normally put it down as a warning in a fic you write, then include it, please.

5. Please include the pairing you're prompting for in the subject line, for ease of compilation later on. After the last day of prompting I shall compile a list of prompts by pairing and put it up on this journal, referenced to in the h50_noticeboard and h50_fic comms.

6. This fest is open to both fic and art, so please make sure you note whether you're hoping for fic or art, or you don't mind which.

7. All prompts and fics/art should be Christmas-themed. Other than that, go wild! If you need an idea of what Christmas Tropes entail, you can check out the Christmas Tropes page on TV Tropes.

8. When posting starts on 1st December, some time before midnight on 31st December all participants will post their fics on their own journals and comment to the designated post/email/pm me with a link to their fics, and which (if any) prompt they wrote them for. At the end of each day I will put up a post with all the links to everyone's fic and promote it on h50_fic. You may feel free to post it to whatever other comm you like, and I will make a collection on AO3 you can post it to as well. This fest is very laid back, so all I ask is that you link me to your stories when you post them!

9. There is no minimum or maximum word count -- except that fics should be over 100 words long.

10. There is no maximum number of times a prompt can be claimed -- as many people as want to can write or make art for one prompt. You don't have to comment with which prompt you choose, but if you only know one thing about me it ought to be that I love chatter and squeeing above all things, so I will not mind at all if you do! :)
