Bombay Sapphire cures all the world's evils [provided it doesn't run out]

Soooo.... I maybe got a bit tipsy tonight (as evidenced by me trying to type butt instead of bit three times before I got it right), because it's National Health Workers day over here, and practically my whole family celebrates -- so we got a wee bit trashed.

And then I somehow ended up watching the following:

And in my somewhat befuddled state, I ended up noticing SO MANY THINGS I'd never paid attention to before. All of Steve's micro expressions, the way Danny moves to make space for Steve when he goes to lean against the car, the way they are SO MARRIED OMFG, the way they so obviously care about each other, the way there are ALL THESE FEELINGS in the blink of an eyelid. Not to mention the delicious grey at Steve's temples, and the yummy stubble over Danny's jaw. HNNNNGGG. I LOVE THESE BOYS TO DISTRACTION.

Today was just MAD. I am nowhere on [livejournal.com profile] zolac_no_miko's birthday present, which makes me all sorts of sad and panicky and pissed at myself -- but even if it's late, it'll be there, darling. I promise. <3 I'm sorry I'm such a flake. ;_____;

And then there's this sneak preview for Monday's ep: [OBVIOUSLY SPOILERY AS HELL]

STEVE. DANNY. CHIN. KONO. TEAM. WHY THE BLOODY HELL IS IT NOT MONDAY YET, HOW IS THIS FAAAAAIR.

This rant has nothing to do with the fact that my sister is due to have my nephew on Monday, if he doesn't arrive ahead of time, which, WHEEEEE!! \0/

I swear various beta jobs, comment responses, and emails are coming tomorrow; today was just one big clusterfuck of obsene amounts of work for a National Holiday. I guess it comes with the job? So basically I'm NOWHERE right now. Oh god, I suck so bad.

To make up for my blah, a rec! Once Upon a Place by [livejournal.com profile] giddygeek, which is quite possibly THE BEST THING TO HAPPEN TO ME ALL DAY, I'M NOT EVEN KIDDING. Well, bar the 'getting ratarsed' stage of the day, which has merit all on its own.

Seriously, though, SUCH A WONDERFUL, GORGEOUS, HEARTWARMING STORY. I want to marry it and cuddle it and bake it cookies forever. All my buttons, pressed so very hard. Quite possibly one of my favourite stories in this fandom.

Tl;dr, you should really stop posting when pissed, Sirona, babe. Just a word of friendly advice. /facepalm

IF THIS ENTRY MADE ANY SORT OF SENSE TO YOU, U'R DOING IT WRONG.

Ack, LJ's done that to me a few times, too. D:

ACTUALLY, HERE'S HOW I SEE THIS GOING. It's their day off, and Steve finally gets the car working, and, I mean, WHO ELSE WOULD HE CALL, RIGHT? He calls Danny. It's instinctive. And Danny grumbles about days off and sleeping in, but he's ready and waiting when Steve pulls up, hair maybe still a little damp from the shower, and Steve bitches about shirts and ties, and Danny kvetches about vintage cars with no A/C, AND IT'S WONDERFUL AND BEAUTIFUL AND DANNY'S ACTUALLY ENJOYING THIS, and if the boyish smile on Steve's face at getting his daddy's car working makes something clench inside him right around where his heart is beating too fast (BECAUSE NATURALLY STEVE STILL DRIVES LIKE A MANIAC, HIS FATHER'S CAR OR NO), well, he's not telling. and then the engine sputters and dies, and the bitching and the ranting, jfc, it would have been EPIC, only maybe Danny would hold it in a little, because that look on Steve's face, unhappiness and disappointment and like losing his dad all over again, is making something else clench now, and it's a little painful, a lot fond, and Danny has to grip the trunk with both hands to stop himself from pulling Steve closer and just holding on for a minute.

...Er. I've maybe thought about it a time or two.

I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE WHAT THE WRITERS COME UP FOR WHO'S TAKEN THE MONEY. IT'S GOING TO BE EPIC, I'M SURE. *_____*

DANNY. HE'S GOING TO GET DOWN THAT CLIFF IF IT'S THE LAST THING HE DOES. BECAUSE HE'S NOT LEAVING STEVE THERE, NO MATTER WHAT. AND HE'S TERRIFIED AND FREAKED OUT AND PANICKY, AND THEN STEVE HAS TO TALK HIM DOWN AGAIN, ONLY SANS CAMOUFLAGE PAINT THIS TIME. I will never ever ever get tired of Steve talking Danny off the ledge. ♥

I THINK YOU SHOULD WRITE THAT GLORIOUS PIECE OF IDEA RIGHT THERE. BECAUSE THAT IS ONE OF THE MOST GLORIOUS THINGS I HAVE EVER HEARD.

DANNY WILL GROW WINGS AND FLY DOWN THAT CLIFF IF ITS THE LAST THING HE DOES. EVER. YES. YES HE IS. AND I LOVE STEVE TALKING DANNY OFF LEDGES. WHICH I JUST TYPED AS LEGS. HES TALKING DANNY OFF LEGS.

Also, I have spent the last few minutes making THIS because I do nothing else with my life. Essay what essay. THIS IS WHAT MY LIFE HAS COME TO AND I HAVE NO REGRETS.

YAY, LJ IS BACK TO WORKING! /facepalm

SJFGAJH'A;JDKF I CAN'T WRITE THAT FIC, I HAVE A THOUSAND THINGS TO WRITE RIGHT NOW... Which basically means that this is going to be one of the first to go down on paper. /headdesk

That macro is what happens when I'm on photobucket searching the cast instead of doing essays. BUT I GOT THE ESSAY FINISHED SO ITS GOOD.
I saw that and was like, LEO STRUT FTW.

AND OF COURSE. THATS THE WAY WRITING WORKS. THE ONE YOU DONT PLAN TO WRITE IS THE ONE YOU WRITE FIRST. IT IS A RULE OF LIFE. A RULE.
