Oh god, the heat, it is unbearable already. There's code yellow and orange for the country, I've barely been able to sleep, and even the thinnest cotton dress is too damn much. Ugh, I'm terribly irritable, but that might be because I'm still on my first cup of coffee as much as the heat. Baby Nicky is naked but for a nappy and he's still like a little stove, he's so warm. I HATE SUMMER. Or, more accurately, I hate summer when it's THIS FUCKING HOT. The forecast is 36 C in the shade. D:

Anyway. Progress has been made!! Hand in hand is the only way to land, part two has been posted, with no less than three gorgeous pieces of art! :D SO CUTE, OH MY GOD. <333 I have SO MANY HEARTS for this story that I've had to borrow from zombies.

The Pride & Prejudice Charles/Erik thing is DONE!! :DDD Does anyone fancy giving it a second (third) look? zarah5 has already been over it once, and I've re-read and edited it, too, so it should be pretty solid, but another pair of eyes never hurts! If anyone would be so kind as to volunteer, that would be amazing. <3

Oh god, gave myself a plot bunny the other day, WHY BRAIN WHY must you torture me so??? Basically, it went like this. andrealyn asked me what Arthur/Eames AU I wanted to read most, and I got to thinking, because as you all know, AUs are kind of my thing. BUT THEN. My brain decided it might be a good idea to work, which, no. BRAIN, IT IS NEVER A GOOD IDEA TO WORK. D: And so this happened:

God I'm with you on the heat. I hate it, I do. I'd forgotten how hot it gets here!
I've found a corner in the flat that's got some semblance of normalcy temperature-wise and I have still managed to produce the 'whole' of 700 words since yesterday. Comparison to last weekened: 5,000 words. Weekend before that: 6,500 words. Temperatures then--in the twenties. Yeah.

Yes, yes, the sodding laptop, oh my god. Yesterday I got quite a bit of writing done only because was at work at it was that or go insane from nothing to do. Today, though? I can't see it going all that well. Woke up with the hair at the back of my neck absolutely drenched, and the laptop only makes me hotter. D: Alllll the doors and windows in the flat are wedged open, and still there's hardly any air. I HATE IT WHEN IT GETS LIKE THIS. I miss England the most in Summer. D: I want to be at Gran's, where it's cool. Hell, I want to be on top of a friggin' mountain. Or in Greece by the seaside.

Gawd. Sounds like summer here. I'll trade you, the apparent temp at lunchtime today was -3.6C. This is turning out to be coldest winter we've had by a long shot. Funny to hear people in other parts of Aus complaining how it's down to 7 or 8C!

I think it is! At one point the thermometer was showing 38C. D: And winter over there sounds like the one here! Funny how things are equalising all over the world, seasons-wise, even when winters are usually mild and summers baking.
