Coffee and TV. And a bit of writing here and there.

Watched what there is of Suits tonight. Totally loved it, although I'm not really shipping Harvey/Mike. Possibly because I like my ships to be on a more even footing, and in this let's be honest, most of the power is with Harvey. Having said that, LOVED. IT. And will be watching as much of it as I can get my hands on. Also watched eps 5 and 6 of White Collar finally. My god, the end of ep 5. PETER BURKE ILU SO MUCH. ♥♥♥

Not really feeling like reading stuff at the mo (too fucking hot) so I also watched The Lake House again yesterday. In a bizarre twist, I think the pairing I was least certain about might prove to be the most apt here: Steve/Danny is what I'm talking about. Because Danny can totally be Alex and Matty the brother, and Steve can be the doc with Jack. Perfect. Other fic plannage has also been happening -- more soon, I hope!

It's going to be 40C tomorrow. DDD: OH GOD. There's code Orange declared in my county. Thankfully there's also supposed to be proper storms tomorrow night, and it'll cool the air down a bit. I'll sleep like a baby tomorrow night, but tonight it's anyone's guess. I mostly sleep in my panties at the mo, no blanket, no sheet, no nothing -- too fucking hot, I'm not kidding. I HATE THE SUMMER SO MUCH. DX

Next stop -- Luther. FINALLY, after like a year of [livejournal.com profile] zolac_no_miko telling me to 'watch it right now, goddamn it'. And other films/TV I feel like, for as long as this phase lasts. I've A Lot to catch up on.

For your time: TOM HARDY, YOU GET IN MY PANTS RIGHT NOW.

Luckily it has improved in Italy too, but still, hot weather: so not my thing. It's actually funny, because one of the things that people keep telling me about moving to London is 'but it's cold/but it rains a lot/etc.' and I'm like 'and that's a problem exactly how???'

You would love Ireland (even though I still prefer Scotland... I don't know, maybe I lived in Scotland in a previous life, who knows, I just connected with that place in a very strong way). The land is so beautiful and the people are nice and friendly. :) I'll post picture soon and you can decide for yourself :)

Peter is my favorite too (also, for me at least, the hottest along with Diana and El... what can I say, Neil is extremely pretty, but not as hot).

You... you... I can't read it, ok? I haven't seen the movie yet. And yes, I do own 30 years and more of X-Men comics, so I know these characters, but I don't know the movie versions of them, ok? And I was trying to resist from... obtaining the movie somehow, considering I'll be in London at the beginning of August and that would be a good occasion to see it in English and on a big screen... but... did you know that I have a soft spot for P&P? Because I do... ack...

Heee, that was exactly my reaction when people complain about London being cold and rainy and stuff -- and I'm like WELL YOU DON'T HAVE TO GO, JUST PASS ME YOUR PLAIN TICKET, NIIIIICE AND EASY... :D

I would definitely wait to watch the film first (their chemistry, JFC it's unbelievable). And I think a lot of us have a soft spot for P&P! <3

Exactly! I'm not saying London has to be everyone's cup of tea, but why do they suppose that hot and sunny must be? (by the way, I really hope you'll get to visit me in London! first of all, we'll get to meet and secondly, London!!!)

(their chemistry, JFC it's unbelievable)

heh, so I've heard. And I could watch it in Italian, but I fear what they have done to the dialogs dubbing it and the wrong voices can do a lot of harm to characters and I don't want to risk that.

P&P is one of the few romantic classics that I do love. (I hate Romeo and Juliet and I'm not particularly fond of other classics). In other, related news, loving P&P and having a huge crush on Keira Knightley I was extremely disappointed when a couple of weeks ago I got to watch her P&P and didn't like it at all :((((

OMG YES. YESSSSSSSS YES YES I WOULD LOVE TO VISIT!!! We shall have to make arrangements! :D There are now a bunch of LJ people living in London that I would adore to see and spend time with! \0/

P&P is truly my favourite classic out there. I am partial to Persuasion too, though, very much. As for the Keira Knightley film -- I actually rather enjoyed it. It's not perfect, and there's A Lot of changes they've made -- and that I've used in the story, too, as I tried to mix it up a bit so it's not a flat retelling. That film was the first time I saw Joe Wright's stuff, and have loved everything he's done ever since. I think he is one of the few rare examples that I'll go see something because of the director, not so much the actors. And I thought Keira did a good job there -- when you consider that she was only 19 when she played that role.

yay for london meet-up!! \o/

As for P&P, I don't know. I found it pretty flat. Maybe I wasn't in the right mood, or maybe I was expecting too much. I love Keira, but in the movie her performance felt uneven. Actually, that was the problem I had with the whole movie (exception made for Matthew Macfadyen). As I said, maybe it was just a wrong moment kind of thing. I haven't seen any other movie by Wright, but Atonement is on my to-watch list.
